Who we are
For over 50 years Titus Welding has performed the welding and erection of major offices and industrial buildings in the Detroit area. Titus Welding was founded in 1920 by Clyde Centers, one of the early founders of the Welding Society. In the early 1970’s Titus Welding was engaged to install the mechanisms for the 200’ diameter clarifiers at the Detroit Water and Sewerage Department Jefferson Avenue plant. That was the beginning of a new market in water and wastewater. In 1978 Clyde Centers retired and Joseph Cavanaugh purchased the company name and a small box of tools. Joseph Cavanaugh owned Titus till his passing in 2022. Jessica George worked with Mr. Cavanaugh since the early 2000’s and took over Titus Welding Co., Inc.
